What this is
These terms govern your access to and use of the FIRMCY Screening service. By registering you accept the definitive Terms and the Data Processing Agreement incorporated into them. The service is for obliged entities (law firms, DNFBPs and other obliged persons) for their AML/CDD/EDD screening — it is not a consumer service.
Core points
- The service — two tiers: deterministic sanctions/PEP screening, and LLM-assisted adverse-media discovery and risk-scoring; available as a web app and an API.
- Account — accurate registration, email verification, secure credentials, one organisation per account; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Acceptable use — AML/CDD/EDD purpose only; a per-run lawful-basis attestation for each screening; no scraping, resale, redistribution or reverse-engineering of the service, corpus or output.
- Credits & billing — prepaid packs and subscriptions; credits consumed only on a completed run; prices net (VAT-exclusive) with VAT added at checkout; credits non-refundable, expiring 12 months from purchase; subscriptions auto-renew and may be cancelled.
- The output — an investigatory lead, not a determination of fact; no warranty of truth or list completeness; you apply a human review gate before any adverse outcome and bear the consequences of relying on output without your own verification.
- Liability — aggregate cap = fees paid in the prior 12 months; no indirect/consequential liability; GDPR Art 82 unaffected.
- Indemnity — you indemnify for misuse, an unsupported lawful-basis attestation, screening data you are not entitled to screen, and reliance on output without verification.
- Governing law — Republic of Cyprus; exclusive jurisdiction of the Cyprus courts.
